Seoul is already falling apart when Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 4 opens its most personal campaign thread. The game is due on October 23, 2026, with campaign access from October 16 for digital pre-orders. It is headed to PS5, Xbox Series X/S, Steam, Battle.net, and Switch 2. Between story sessions, some players will also be looking at MW4 Bot Lobbies, though the real draw here is the pressure of being caught in a city that has stopped feeling safe.
A Rookie in Seoul
"Losing Ground" follows Private Park Hyun-jun, a South Korean soldier on his first real deployment. There is no comfortable introduction. Park's unit moves through wrecked streets, under damaged rail lines, and past vehicles left where they died. Civilians are still nearby, so every shot has to be considered. That changes the mood. You cannot just sprint toward the noise and hope it works out. Radio calls cut in and out. Aircraft pass overhead. Then contact happens straight ahead, fast and loud.
Launch and Access
| Item | Details | | Campaign early access | October 16, 2026 | | Worldwide release | October 23, 2026 | | Lead studio | Infinity Ward | | Platforms | PS5, Xbox Series X/S, PC, Switch 2 | Infinity Ward appears to be leaning into a more immediate style of combat. The camera stays close to Park, and the lighting does a lot of the talking. A tunnel can be almost black, then a blast lights up the concrete for a second. It is messy in a believable way. Routes close without warning. A street that looked usable a minute ago may now be blocked by fire, rubble, or enemy fire.
What Raises the Stakes
Check fire when civilians are close.
Move through smoke toward a local cafe.
Hold the bridge after the squad takes losses.
Survive an enemy helicopter closing on the position.
The bridge sequence sounds like the point where everything tightens. Park and the remaining soldiers are exposed, with little cover and nowhere obvious to go. That is where the invasion stops being background context and becomes the whole problem. The opposing force has numbers, vehicles, and momentum. Park's squad is trying to keep moving long enough to avoid being swallowed by it.
Price's Other War
Park's fight is only one side of the story. Captain Price is working far from Seoul, following leads outside normal military channels and dealing with people he would not usually trust, including Valeria. His choices are likely to collide with the events in Korea, but his view of the war is much colder. For players weighing story access alongside MW4 Bot Lobbies for sale, that contrast may be the hook: a new soldier trying to make it through one impossible night, and Price chasing the people who helped make that night happen.
